Rose Essential Oil

Formerly native of Persia, in the Rose centuries has spread all over the world for its beauty and the many features and applications in beauty treatments, health and nutrition.

In particular, the essential oil of Rosa includes effective use in the cosmetics, acting for the regenerating epidermis.

The methods of extraction of essential oil of Rosa are mainly two: the extraction of steam oily substance contained in the petals, natural method, able to capture the most valuable part of the flower rich in active principles, compatible for outdoor use and internal.

To obtain approximately 30 ml of essential oil of Rosa takes up to 60 kg of petals, which give a delicate floral aroma, particularly appreciated by perfume makers and cosmetologists more attention to the effectiveness of natural elements.
The second extraction method used is through the use of chemical solvents, which alter the natural boundaries and to limit the internal use.

In History
Already the Greek physicians knew the toning of the essential oil of Rose. The Romans extracted essential oil for therapeutic and beauty, creating perfumes and ointments. Roman women after bathing rub the skin of the face and body powder with rose petals and wore make-up eyelids with the essential oil. Even doctors Arabs held the rose in great esteem. Avicenna claimed to have cured a severe disturbance of blood circulation using only rose marmalade. In the Middle Ages, respiratory problems were treated with preparations of rose. Lepoux in his book "Medicine, Magic et Sorcellerie", tells how in a French region we serve gall rose hips to treat various ailments.
